QuickConverter — Privacy Policy

📋 Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Appharatech ("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use the QuickConverter Android application (com.apphara.quickconverter). By using the app, you agree to this policy.

🔍 Information We Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data ourselves. The app does not require an account or registration.

However, third-party services integrated in the app may collect limited data as described below.

📁 File & Storage Access

QuickConverter requests access to files solely to perform the conversion you request (e.g., PDF to Image, Image Compress, Merge PDF).

• Files you select are processed entirely on-device.
• Output files are saved to your device's storage or shared via Android's standard share sheet.
• We never read, copy, or transmit your files to external servers.
• Temporary conversion files are stored in the app's private cache directory and are cleared automatically.

🔐 Permissions Used

• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_MEDIA_IMAGES — to let you select files for conversion.
• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android < 10) — to save converted files to your Downloads or Gallery.
• INTERNET — required by Google AdMob to show ads and by Google Play Billing for in-app purchases. No user files are transmitted.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE — to keep conversions running while the app is in the background.

📢 Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of QuickConverter displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data to show personalized or non-personalized ads, including:

• Device identifiers (Advertising ID)
• IP address and coarse location
• App usage and interaction data

Google's use of advertising data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings under Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.

Premium users who have purchased the ad-free upgrade do not see AdMob ads.

💳 In-App Purchases

QuickConverter offers optional in-app purchases (Premium upgrade) processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment information. Purchase records are managed by Google. Please refer to Google Play Terms of Service for details.

📊 Analytics

We do not integrate any analytics SDK (e.g., Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics) in QuickConverter. No usage analytics or crash reports are collected by us.

👶 Children's Privacy

QuickConverter is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

🗄️ Data Retention

Since we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is no user data for us to retain or delete. Temporary files created during conversion are stored in the app's private cache and can be cleared at any time from Settings → Clear Cache within the app, or via Android's app storage settings.

🛡️ Security

Because all processing happens locally on your device and no files are transmitted to external servers, the security of your files depends on the security of your device. We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and using device-level security features (screen lock, encryption).

🔄 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through an in-app notice or a new app version. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
